So what we need to do first is come over here, turn off the switch because we don't want to be trying to power it while we stick our hand inside there and then we don't want to just shove our hand in there because what if somebody decides to come along and go, hey is it stuck? And now you don't have this thing anymore. So what we're going to do is we're going to go underneath here and unplug the garbage disposal. If you can't unplug it then you're going to want to go outside and turn it off at the circuit breaker. So in our case the plug for the garbage disposal is right up there. We're going to get in here, unplug it and now we know we're safe.
