Press down firmly and evenly on the toilet bowl to compress the wax and create a solid seal. Place the washers and nuts on the bolts and tighten them alternately, being careful not to overtighten and crack the porcelain base. Reconnect the water supply line, turn the water on, and check for leaks around the base and at the connection.
