Push the pipe firmly into the fitting until it hits the internal stop. Check that your depth mark is now flush with the edge of the fitting. Repeat this process with the copper pipe on the other side of the coupling. Push it in until it is fully seated and the depth mark aligns with the fitting's edge. Give both pipes a gentle pull to confirm they are locked securely.
