With the water off, proceed to remove the old faucet. From underneath the sink, use a basin wrench or the specific tool provided with the old faucet to loosen and unscrew the large mounting nut holding the faucet in place. You may also need to disconnect the hot and cold water supply lines from the shut-off valves if they are not being replaced. Once all mounting hardware and hoses are disconnected, go to the top of the sink and carefully lift the entire old faucet assembly up and out of the mounting hole.
