Begin by locating the septic tank lids. In this case, the customer had already dug up the outlet side lid. If the lids are buried, carefully excavate the soil around the access points until both the inlet and outlet lids are exposed and accessible. The video shows a shovel being used to clear soil around the access point. Note that septic tank lids can be heavy and require care when opening.
