Test and Adjust — Reassemble and Test
Part of project
Running Toilet Repair · Step 9 of 9
In this video
Turn the water supply back on by rotating the shut-off valve counter-clockwise. Allow the toilet tank to fill completely. Observe the water level to ensure it stops at the appropriate mark, usually indicated inside the tank or on the fill valve itself. Adjust the float on the fill valve as needed to achieve the correct water level. Finally, test the flush several times to ensure both the fill valve and flapper are working correctly, and check for any leaks. Once satisfied, place the toilet tank lid back on.
