Step 3 · Remove the Old Valve

This is the step most people slow down on. Take it one move at a time — there’s no rush, and you can rewind the clip as many times as you need.

Carefully remove the old valve. For two-handle faucets, this involves removing handles, escutcheons, and valve stems. Use penetrating oil if needed to loosen corroded parts.
