Step 2 · Drill Pilot Holes in Tile

Place painter's tape over the marked spots on the tile. This helps prevent the drill bit from skipping. Using a drill equipped with a masonry or tile drill bit, start drilling at a slow speed. Apply steady, even pressure to create pilot holes. Once through the tile, switch to a standard drill bit if needed to slightly enlarge the hole for the anchor.
