Step 2 · Adjust or Replace the Toilet Fill Valve
This is the step people usually slow down on. Go finger-tight first, then a quarter turn. No rush — replay the clip whenever it helps.
If the water level is low, locate the fill valve's adjustment screw and carefully turn it to raise the water level. If the problem persists or the water level is too high, the fill valve is likely faulty and needs replacing. Turn off the water supply before replacing it. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for your specific model. Typical installation involves inserting the valve into the tank and securing it with a locknut.
