Step 1 · Locate Wall Studs

Employ a stud finder to scan the wall surface where the television will be mounted. Identify the edges of each wall stud by listening for the device's signal or observing its display. Once the edges are found, mark them lightly with a pencil. Then, find the center of each stud by measuring the distance between the marked edges and dividing by two. Mark these center points clearly, as they will serve as guides for drilling pilot holes.
