Step 4 · Remove the Shower Handle(s)

This is the step people usually slow down on. Go finger-tight first, then a quarter turn. No rush — replay the clip whenever it helps.

For two-handle faucets, locate the screw behind each handle. Unscrew and remove them, then pull off the handles. Single-handle faucets may require removing a decorative cap to access the screw. A handle puller tool can assist if the handles are resistant.
