Step 6 · Inspect Inlet and Outlet Baffles

Check the condition of the inlet and outlet baffles (or tees). These prevent solids from entering or leaving the tank improperly. Ensure they are intact, securely in place, and not damaged. A missing or broken baffle can lead to system failure.
