Step 3 · Replace the Cartridge or O-rings

This is the step most people slow down on. Take it one move at a time — there’s no rush, and you can rewind the clip as many times as you need.

Inspect the cartridge for wear. If damaged, replace it with a new one matching the faucet's make and model. If the cartridge is in good condition, examine the O-rings. Replace any damaged or deteriorated O-rings with new ones of the appropriate size. Reassemble carefully ensuring all parts are properly aligned.
