Step 4 · Step 4: The 'Clean, Peel, and Stick' Method

It's time for the magic! We recommend starting at the top step and working your way down—this keeps you from stepping on your freshly installed treads. Simply peel the clear plastic film off the back of your first tread to reveal the adhesive. Align it with the center mark you made, and gently set it in place. This is the heart of our easy DIY stair remodel.
