Step 2 · Drain the Line and Prepare the Workspace

With the water off, open both the hot and cold handles on the faucet above the angle stop you are replacing. This action relieves any remaining water pressure in the pipes. Place a small bucket directly under the old angle stop to catch water that will drain from the line. Arrange several old towels or rags around the bucket to protect your cabinet from any spills.
