Step 2 · Access the Interior Connection

This is the step people usually slow down on. Go finger-tight first, then a quarter turn. No rush — replay the clip whenever it helps.

Go to the area inside your home (basement or crawlspace) directly opposite the outdoor spigot. You will need clear access to the pipe where the sillcock connects. You may need to move stored items or push aside insulation. If the connection is behind drywall, you will need to cut a small access hole using a drywall saw.
