Step 3 · Replace O-rings and Washers

This is the step most people slow down on. Take it one move at a time — there’s no rush, and you can rewind the clip as many times as you need.

Depending on your faucet type, inspect and replace worn O-rings and washers. For compression faucets, you may need to remove the packing nut with an adjustable wrench. Carefully remove the old O-rings and washers, clean the area, and install new ones. Lubricate the new O-rings for easier installation and a better seal.
