Step 2 · Position the Tape
Hold the spool of thread seal tape in one hand and the end of the male-threaded pipe in the other. Place the end of the tape on the second thread from the end of the pipe. Holding the tape flat against the threads with your thumb, ensure the tape is positioned to wrap in a clockwise direction (when looking at the end of the pipe).
