With the wall patch fully dry and sanded smooth, the final step is to finish the surface. Apply a coat of primer over the patched area to seal the joint compound and ensure the paint adheres evenly. Once the primer is dry, apply one or two coats of paint to match the rest of the wall. After the paint has dried, clean up your work area, remove any tools and debris, and your shower faucet conversion is complete.
