Step 3 · Remove the Old Fill Valve

This is the step people usually slow down on. Go finger-tight first, then a quarter turn. No rush — replay the clip whenever it helps.

Remove the lock nut securing the old fill valve to the tank bottom. Gently lift out the old fill valve, taking note of its components for easier reassembly later.
