Inspect the area where the cartridge was seated for any mineral deposits, debris, or old sealant. Use a soft cloth, an old toothbrush, or a small brush to clean the interior of the faucet body thoroughly. Ensure the seating surfaces are smooth and free of obstructions for the new cartridge.
