Step 4 · Clean Air Filter Housing

Before installing the new filter, take a clean rag or shop towel and wipe the interior surfaces of the air filter housing. Pay attention to the seal area where the cover meets the base to ensure a good seal with the new filter. This step prevents old dirt from immediately contaminating the new filter.
