Step 2 · Remove the Old Shower Faucet

This is the step people usually slow down on. Go finger-tight first, then a quarter turn. No rush — replay the clip whenever it helps.

Carefully remove the old shower faucet handle and escutcheon plate. This might involve unscrewing them or using an Allen wrench to loosen any set screws. For easier reassembly, take detailed photos before disassembling.
