Step 2 · Remove the filter assembly

Once located, the filter assembly typically consists of a cylindrical fine-mesh filter and sometimes a coarser outer filter. To remove it, you will usually need to twist the cylindrical part counter-clockwise and then lift it straight up out of its base. Some models may have a different mechanism, so consult your manual if needed.
