Step 2 · Remove the Old Shower Head

This is the step people usually slow down on. Go finger-tight first, then a quarter turn. No rush — replay the clip whenever it helps.

Carefully unscrew the old shower head by turning it counterclockwise. Use an adjustable wrench or pliers wrapped in a cloth to protect the finish if necessary. Clean the shower arm threads thoroughly with a cloth to remove any debris or old Teflon tape.
