Step 2 · Remove the Old Shower Faucet Trim

This is the step people usually slow down on. Go finger-tight first, then a quarter turn. No rush — replay the clip whenever it helps.

Carefully remove the old faucet handles, escutcheon plate, and showerhead. Unscrewing or unclipping these components is typically involved. Penetrating oil may help loosen stubborn screws. Take photos before disconnecting to aid reassembly.
