Step 5 · Inspect Motor and Wiring

Carefully inspect the motor housing for any discoloration or melting, which indicates overheating. Check all wire connections within the fan, including those from the ceiling to the fan, within the motor housing, and to the light kit. Ensure wire nuts are secure and that there are no frayed or damaged wires. Look for any signs of corrosion on terminals.
