Carpet Stair Treads

Carefully count each individual stair step you wish to transform. Don't forget to include any flat landing areas in your total if you want them to match. This simple count ensures you order the correct quantity for a complete and cohesive look, bringing warmth and elegance to your home.

For a secure fit, accuracy is key. Place your tape measure at the very front edge of the step (this is often called the 'bullnose') and measure straight back until you touch the vertical board, known as the 'riser.' This dimension ensures our treads will sit perfectly on your stair.

Measure the full width of your step, from the far left side to the far right. This measurement will help you decide how much of your beautiful wood you'd like to frame your new carpet tread, achieving a truly polished and design-conscious look.

This exposed wood is called the 'reveal,' and it's what gives your project a high-end, custom look. A common choice is to leave a half-inch to a full inch of wood visible on both sides. This decision is all about personal style and what you feel best complements your home's aesthetic.
