Step 7 · Dry the Carpet

Proper drying is crucial. Open windows and use fans to circulate air and speed up the drying process. If available, use a dehumidifier. Avoid walking on the carpet until it is completely dry to the touch. For faster drying, you can use a wet/dry vacuum to extract as much moisture as possible after cleaning and rinsing.
