Step 2 · Access Indoor Evaporator Coil

Identify the indoor air handler unit, typically located in an attic, closet, or basement. Remove the filter, and then locate and unscrew or unlatch the access panel that covers the evaporator coil. This may require a screwdriver or a nut driver.
