YOU'VE NEVER SEEN A WELDING TABLE LIKE THIS! CUSTOM HEAVY STEEL WORKBENCH BUILD!

What happens here

After all casters are securely welded, remove any temporary rubber caps from the frame. These are typically included for tables with wood tops but are a fire hazard for a metal welding surface. The massive 3/8-inch thick steel plate (approximately 500 lbs and 6 ft by 3 ft) that will serve as the tabletop needs to be carefully moved and positioned. Use heavy machinery like a Bobcat S773 skid steer with pallet fork extensions to lift and transport the steel plate from its outdoor storage location into the workshop. Carefully align and lower the plate onto the welding table frame. Once positioned, use a combination of physical force (a 'gut lever' technique) and careful maneuvering to center the plate precisely on the frame. The presenter attempts an 'egg test' to check the heat of the plate, but it's not hot enough to cook an egg.

Goal: Securely position the heavy steel plate onto the table frame.
