What happens here
For the first startup, put on all required safety gear, including chaps, a helmet with ear protection and a face shield. Press the compression relief valve on the top of the chainsaw. Then, locate and press the fuel primer bulb until fuel is visible, followed by two additional presses. Next, pull the choke control lever out and up to engage full choke. Place the chainsaw on the ground or a stable surface, ensuring the chain brake is engaged. Brace the saw with your foot or knee and pull the starter cord firmly until the engine 'fires' (makes a brief sound). Immediately push the choke lever down (to half-choke or off position depending on the model) and pull the starter cord again to start the saw fully. Allow the new chainsaw to idle for approximately 5 minutes for a proper break-in before engaging in heavy cutting tasks. This initial idling helps the engine components settle.
Goal: Safely start the new chainsaw for the first time and allow its engine to break-in.
