Mask the Top Edge of the Window Frame

Begin the masking process by addressing the top horizontal edge of the window. Utilize a specialized masking tool, such as a 3M Hand-Masker, which combines a roll of painter's tape with a roll of plastic sheeting, allowing for efficient, simultaneous application. Position a stable ladder, such as the 'Little Giant King Kombo' ladder shown in the video, ensuring all four feet are firmly on level ground. Ascend the ladder safely, maintaining three points of contact. Carefully align the masking tool with the top edge of the window frame, pressing the adhesive tape firmly to create a tight seal, while allowing the plastic sheeting to unfurl and drape downwards, covering the window pane.
