Master Painting a Pools | Pool Restoration

[Music] foreign So today we're out here we're going to be painting a pool I'm gonna give you some tips and tricks if you've got a pool if you want to paint your pool we're going to be painting our pool with a water-based epoxy coating from in selects and I'll give you a little recommendation when it comes to painting pools I've got experienced painting poles once you paint a pole you're going to have to paint the pole quite often typically I'm in Boise Idaho and the pools that we've painted they last about two to three years before they start fading so beware once you paint it it's not gonna last you 10 years if you want to look good you're probably going to be painting it every probably every two to three years probably recommended every three years so um there's a lot of different Coatings out there there's chlorinated rubbers there's epoxies there's water-based Coatings but we're going to be using a water-based coating on this pool from inselex and they're convenient and easy to use before you do paint your bowl you want to know what's on that pool to begin with before you paint it there's some Coatings aren't compatible with other coatings and um you want to know the coding that you're going to be putting on there and you want to know the coating that's on there existing if it's been previously painted before so we're going to get ready some of the processes I've got to drain the pool obviously but I'm going to scrub it first while it's um you know got water in it we're going to scrub it then we're going to drain it and then we're going to begin the painting process the painting process you could spray it on you could roll it on you can spray and roll it you can brush it the water-based Coatings are simple and easy to use it's a one component product that we're going to be putting on we're going to be just rolling this with four inch rollers nine inch rollers and brushing and cutting it in we're going to be painting it a royal blue you can see it right now it was a royal blue about three years ago it's faded down to kind of like a soft baby blue now but we're going to paint it it's going to look absolutely amazing but beware once you paint it you're going to be painting it quite often if you want to look good so let's get down to the process of painting this bowl and I'm going to show you what it looks like so we're going to begin scrubbing that draining it and then you got to let it dry for um this is we got kind of cool weather it's about in the 80s now we're going to let it dry three to four days then we're gonna clean it again and then we're going to coat it and then once you coat it you got to let it set for seven days out gas before you actually fill it so let's get going let's paint this pool thank you foreign [Music] thank you foreign [Music] foreign [Music] foreign [Music] foreign [Music] foreign [Music] [Applause] [Music] foreign [Music]
