Wild hog Threatening Neighborhood? Pet or danger? What would you do?

hey folks this is Josh Stoney Ridge farmer I am a little bit under the weather right now but my neighbor has just called me and we've had some troubles with a wild hog which is something really really rare for around here so we're going to go up and investigate the wild hog situation there's a fear that this hog could hurt my neighbor's child and we definitely don't want that they have two children that play out in the yard all the time so I've got my rifle and we're going to go up here and we're going to check this situation out if it is a wild hog I'm pretty sure that I'll go ahead and dispatch the hog and we'll have some pork so the neighbor wants me to get rid of it it's evidently been living in one of their sheds in the back of their property and it's not cool they've called animal control several times but it takes animal control so long to get out here so come along on the farm vlog today it's going to be a little adventure if I do shoot this hog I will not show you the kill shot but I will show you what we do to process the hog will do pork chops and stuff like that but basically we'll skin this hog and we'll have some pork in the freezer I'd be kind of cool [Music] now in the state of North Carolina this is a nuisance animal that needs to be rid it needs to be gotten rid of they can damage crops they can damage all sorts of stuff and they can hurt little children so that's the main concern is the safety of this family not so concerned about your feelings about it I am gonna go get rid of this hog so just part of farm life this isn't Wilbur in the little Charlotte's Web this is a big hog that can harm children and we've got to get rid of it I am pulling up to the yard right now it's been out in my pasture also which is basically directly across here we're gonna cruise on up I'll get them on camera first so you can see there we go we're gonna cruise up here on the side of the road right now [Music] all right there's the neighbor's goat I don't see the hog anywhere right now mmm not seeing him not seeing the piggy all right so this is the neighbor chick she's been drinking all day long I'm just kidding is their first beer and she didn't bring me one which is very upsetting and it's a high D so what do we got here come on in tell us what we've got love there's a pig in the front yard and art go is free-range so we already look a little bit like Hillbillies let's go in the front yard so now we have to go at a pig yeah dog are you into the front yard is it a big pig are you afraid that it might harm your kids or yes he's big he's like this big okay so you you think it's like a rogue pot-bellied pig I approached him but he didn't let me get close gotcha gotcha that Oliver is really curious it's really curious so if I get rid of this pig for you do you want some pork from it is that yeah okay good that's good neighbors right there so the pig has since left the area here we're thinking that maybe it's a neighbor's Pig that's gotten loose and they just don't know about it or maybe in the middle of the day it's getting loose and they don't know about it but I'm not too awful sure what the heck's going on but what's gonna happen is either the pig is gonna get hit by a car or the neighbor's dog is getting ready to get it by a car right here to not be cool all right we're gonna take off out here that's the neighbor's dog stays on the road all the time it's probably on the road right now I don't see it I don't want to be out here on the open road on the Gator very much either so nobody in the neighborhood seems to know where to pay against coming from nobody knows where it is I just ran over a bottle so I might be walking back home here in a second smell like a bottle of pee all right so we're down pretty close to my Creek bottom here so that is that's our Creek right there I don't know just could be just a wild pig and pulling back towards the neighbor's house here where the pig was sighted no idea no idea where this pig man [Music] but I got a pretty good sneaking suspicion I know where the pig lives there's a lot of old buildings and shacks back here and barns behind the neighbor's house and I'm pretty sure that's where the pigs living so guys we'll keep you updated on the vlog if this pig turns up if we get some pork chops out of this deal or we figure out that it's a pet pig and we don't get pork chops out of the deal sounds like it's a pot-bellied pig it must be somebody's pet that's gotten out and is kind of roaming a little bit so maybe we'll call animal control and see if somebody's missing a piggy all right thanks a lot guys we'll see you next time on the Stoney Ridge farm just a quick vlog of what's going on here today on the farm all right the green one [Music] here in sweet add some ways those Denise Tony Reed Oh
