Understand the Need for Paint Straining

All right. Today I'm going to be talking about straining your paints. Now, this is something I didn't used to do, you know, 10, 15 years ago at all. Nowadays, you got to strain your paints all the time. And I'm actually straining my paints, you know, um, now doing this exterior multiple times throughout the day. So your exterior paints, unlike interior paints, your exterior paints dry really fast, skim over really quick, especially if you don't keep them covered and some type of wet covering over the top of it. You'll get layers of paint like skimming over on the top on the sides. It'll eventually work into your paint lines. You'll eventually start getting clogged gun filters, clogged manifold filters. It's kind of a pain in the neck, but it's uh just a necessary, you know, evil to painting inside and outside. I just highly recommend now before starting any interior painting or exterior painting, straining your paints. The exterior paint I'm using right now is Latitude. We're spraying outside. It's cool temps. We're using latitude, you know, for multiple different reasons. But once again, um, exterior paints are very notorious for, you know, skimming over, skimming over, or even just, you know, as they're being stored, they skim over on the top and they dry on the top of the lids, even though they're new and and never even been open. They'll skim over on the top. They'll put tent in it. They'll shake it up. This stuff will break free. It'll all end up in your paint. And then a brand new 5gallon bucket of paint would end up clogging you know gun filters getting spits. I was getting tons of spits out there because you know the paint was skimming over so fast over the
