What happens here
Remove the existing plug from the fuel tank's pump outlet. Clean any residue inside the outlet with a shop towel. Apply fuel-safe Teflon tape to the threads of the pump adapter. Screw the pump adapter securely into the fuel tank outlet. Then, remove the plug from the pump itself and attach the pump onto the adapter. Use an adjustable wrench or pipe wrench to firmly tighten the pump, ensuring a leak-free connection. Ensure the pump is oriented correctly for easy access and operation.
