What happens here
Next, install the underside soffit board. A second pre-cut wooden board, designed to serve as the bottom of the soffit, is placed horizontally. One end of this board is attached to the previously installed rake fascia board, and the other end is secured to the wall sheathing of the house. This action creates the horizontal enclosure for the bottom of the eave box. A nail gun is used for fastening.
Goal: Install the horizontal board to form the bottom of the eave box.
