(19,998 characters)I'm going to clean some equipment that hasn't been cleaned in a couple years let's do this thing [Music] nice to meet you I'm Garrett Garrett nice to meet you Garrett now you guys got some sick looking trucks so we got Garrett who else do we got here how you doing nice to meet you and your name is Cohen Kellen Stan nice to meet you Kelly okay cool yeah hop right in there Kelly yup look at they got ramps on each one of their trucks and we got Bobby how you doing Bobby good to see you again you brought the Infantry with you dang all right so we got uh yeah yeah hop in there yep 27. oil there how are you buddy good nice to meet you thanks for bringing these on okay so the first question I have for you is it true that hot seat manufactures their own coils the own framework stuff like that yeah the coils are assembled in Denver the frames are made in Denver as well the pumps are made in their own plant in Italy okay um that's where 90 of all high pressure pumps are made so is the coil kind of like the lifeblood of the machine because that's kind of like the failure thing if something's going to fail is that right lady coil is what's in here okay uh we can actually pop this off you want to see it yes I do I want to see it so that's your that's your schedule 80 coil okay uh it's 20 feet sections cold rolled and then welded together okay um and they make them in Denver they make them in Denver but stuff like you then Outsource like this yeah the Vanguard engine is going to be made in Kentucky okay open their plant and then you what about the pumps the pumps are coming out of Italy out of karcher's own plan okay but if you make these parts right now what kind of a warranty do you give on these machines so the coil itself has a five-year five-year okay against anything besides freezing especially in the northern climates here um that is a that's a normal goal okay the coil it's the pump itself so everything from the brass back is seven year warranty okay your brass head though is only a 90-day warranty because that water quality is what determines how well this is going to last okay and user how you use it but you do something with your warranty that I haven't seen before it's not prorated it actually refreshes so if this coil fails four and a half years down the road and I need a new coil is it true that my warranty starts all over again yes so then I got another five years and then another thing is safety because safety is a big issue with these things because guys do never never put one of these at Point at one of these at anybody because they will peel the skin right now the skin off a potato and they'll peel the skin off of you yeah so the units themselves are UL certified and ETL certified so they're more or less with those certifications allowed for is it protects the company that buys the unit so those certifications are important especially if you're buying a unit that's going to go in like a manufacturing facility you'll be in a stationary thing or even protect you from a liability of getting hurt if someone getting hurt you know okay so we got three different models here and we've got them because not every hotsy's made for everybody right there's got to be a very specific and these guys need to dial this in is my understanding yep okay so to kind of walk you through the models we'll start down here okay so like this is a this is a 110 volt powered machine um it's it's a low volume low prep low pressure machine okay um you know where this model really fits in well is like a is you know golf courses mechanic shops where they don't need five gallon a minute or four gallon a minute they only need you know two gallon a minute to do degreasing now this one does 2.7 gallons 2.2 2.2 2.2 at 1300 PSI and and it requires 110 volt at 20 amps so we have an adapter here on it right now but it is a 20 amp plug on it okay um because most places do not actually have a 20 amp plug and it has the actual heating unit itself it runs off from the diesel or kerosene we prefer to see kerosene be used it just burns cleaner either one is okay either one is over warranty nope doesn't avoid the warranty if you switch between them okay and is this like the baby unit yeah more or less it's the small it the smallest commercial unit we sell yeah okay and what is like a price point generalized for something like that something like this is gonna be about that six grand range set up the way it is with the hose reel and everything okay so six grand out the door plug it into a wall hook your garden hose up hook your garden hose up and you're good to go what is this one then so this one is your is the big brother it's 230 volt single phase so it's running off a welder plug oh okay yep so it's running off a welder style plug okay it's going to be producing more volume so three and a half gallons a minute okay at 2 000 PSI instead and then your coil size you see is bigger as well so it's putting out more BTUs okay to then heat the water the same temperature 140 degree temperature well now because that one's smaller yep and this one's a little bigger is there a change in warranty or is it is across the board yep okay like this is gonna fit the player like you know smaller Farms this is where it's going to work you know bigger Landscaping outfits that don't have quite a big shop you know someone like yourself that has the power to handle it this is what you'd use okay um and then you know we do sell these quite a bit uh you know Public Works sector as well you know smaller townships and stuff like that and the price range for something like that something like this is gonna be around right around the nine grand range setup like this okay and then over here is this pure gas no electric no this is just gas engine driven pump within your same diesel burner like all the other two okay so diesel or kerosene diesel or kerosene and then tell me about the specs on this one so this is gonna be three gallons at 3 000 PSI oh so this son of a duck will really do yeah yeah in in the hot water realm you'll get you'll see like app units advertised at 4 000 PSI Yep they're never truly getting there because this what's the limiting factor of your PSI is your is your steel coil in here yep the max they really want to push through them is three thousand thirty five hundred to keep them within their certifications okay so that's why you'll know you'll see them advertised at four but they really are they're getting close to not getting that out of them so if you want to get the most life out of your hop because these are oh wait what's the what's the price point on something oh ten okay so this is an investment and if you want to get the most life out of it do you have a recommendation soft water yeah I don't care sand water is the only thing you want that's the main thing okay so hot water is a real thing soft water and when you're running the unit let when you let go of the trigger when you're running it to not let it just sit there and run and bypass okay turn it off turn it off yep just shut her down if you're gonna if you're gonna move jockey equipment around or something you want to just shut it down shut it down and what about an end of season and beginning a season prep for if you're throwing in a heated shed there is nothing there is no need if you are storing it in a cold storage then you want to antifreeze it with a an undiluted green antifreeze that's the best okay and how what do you do to do that so we just hook it up we have a bucket that we make that actually hooks right into the garden hose hook up here and you just hold it up and it'll suck it through the system okay okay so what if we don't have that bucket we don't have that fan you can make an air hook up here okay now you can just hook your air compressor up to blow it out just blow it all the way out as much as that'll get you pretty close as good as it can get yeah okay and if you if you wanted to you could take you could take your fitting off here take your cap off here and that would help drain the water out of the oils just drain it all out drain it out so you're not freezing yourself you don't do this and then just undo that back one that would relieve the pressure on the coil and allow it to drain out as well but that's but just draining it isn't enough is it yeah you don't need to do like any like you don't have to blow it out if you drain it you don't have to blow oh yes you still want to blow it out yes oh you don't need to put any like antifreeze in if you if you blow it out and drain it you don't need to do anything and then just whatever you're gonna do for your typical if you're going to use the gas engine one you're going to have to throw a little stable in it and you should be good I always tell a lot of our customers to run you know 91 in in all the gas engine stuff so this one I would be running uh more of a engineered fuel yep that would be better at for it yeah yeah anything that's not ethanol because then because then here's just my two cents you guys may you know have your opinion on this I run Aspen and you don't have to drain anything at the end of the year five year life span and it doesn't plug anything up it just just keeps going so when you run the right fuel you don't have to deal with the 100 I see a battery on it what are we doing with this so this one is electric okay um they just recently made this model electric starter it used to not be um but they did start making electric so it's got a deep cycle cranking battery like both battery so it's got a basically like a gel type style yeah it's got an interstate battery in it so that Interstate battery's got a two year warranty on it I believe okay that's what we we just put that's what we provide in them um you know you're welcome to put out whatever like what I tell people though any unit if you're only going to use one one day a week yeah throw a tender on it and just have it sitting in the shop with a tent that way that battery's always topped off and the reason why is your burner down here your burner assembly okay is actually pulling juice off of the battery when it's running the motor is charging the battery the motor does charge the battery and while it's running and then the but then the burner is pulling off the battery so if you start the day with a kind of a dead weak battery the burner isn't going to run that great it's going to be kind of Hit or Miss right at the beginning because the battery is not topped off all the way okay yeah all right question for you if guys want more information on a hot seat burner can they where would they go could they reach any Hotsy dealer should they reach out yes for Hotsy it's a state by state dealership Network so you just go on to Hotsy does hotsy.com and there's a find a dealer on there you put in your zip code and it'll tell you the closest one so for most the state of Minnesota Hotsy Minnesota who serves it yep and then if you're across the river it's Apache Wisconsin what's the website here hottiemann.com or hotsonminnesota.com all right well let's put her to use okay I've thrown down the challenge you guys I've I've never been able to get this to come off I mean we've pressure washed it where you get right uptight to it yeah so like this stuff where it's almost like like that stuff it should pretty much come off if it's the biggest thing is if it's like baked on it's it's going to be tough right okay but like the Soaps and stuff like this stuff here it's it's just coming off with friction from my finger right yep so we should be able to get it off that way okay like all your heavy grease isn't here and on your height on your hydraulic system we should be able to just get all that off just below that right away and then I have this nozzle that's a rotary spinning nozzle that will uh help get into those crevices as well oh okay so the the different nozzles kind of different way to apply yep exactly okay okay well I'm throwing the challenge down to you let's see if you can if you you and your hot tea can get this off yeah hope there ain't no picking this on it they're heavy the best way with the hose reel though the way the hose reels like that it does make it easier to kind of pick it up like if you're moving like you know yeah and like the handle styles are a little bit easier what is this thing we don't want to get her too close that's what kills these units too what's that is people washing if you're washing your equipment and you have it too close the overspray the overspray especially in the springtime you're you know getting all the salt off everything I think it's landing on this Frame and stuff and it's just sitting there because you don't think to wash this off ever so you don't wash your pressure washer [Applause] [Music] [Applause] so the startup procedure on our gas engines is on the Briggs vanguards they have actually a gas stop built into the throttle um a lot of the other like Honda that we that used to be on our units a lot would always have a separate switch well the problem is if you put in the back of a truck and drive your float and your carburetor is bouncing it's loading this you know the cylinder up with gas then oh okay so Vanguard designed it too so it's only just a stop built in okay so so you got your on off for your fuel stop yep so we're all the way full throttle [Applause] River while you squeeze the trigger so you don't have pressure built up in the knife it's easier on Yeah by squeezing the trigger it's easier on the cranking okay of the machine got it yep okay now we've hooked our water up so we're just using a standard garden hose nothing special uh and then what about soap what do we do with soap so soap we're going to be using what's called Downstream so it's a chemical injector that uses a Venturi inside so this part right here this brass piece is your injector okay so when I squeeze this secondary trigger here and this one it's going to create a low pressure that's going to then suck detergent up through that injector and then out my hose you said low pressure and there's something I know about Hotsy and that they their pumps run at about half of the PSI as other people's pumps or something like that I don't know what it is what is it half the RPMs is the standard motor yes so it's half the RPMs easier on the machine we're going to spend lower RPMs so we've got a primary trigger for the soap yep and then we got our high pressure nozzle okay this is our soap nozzle so the reason why it's a bigger orifice is that it will let more air more water out to create a soap injector but then it as soon as you hit the soap trigger it goes low pressure yep automatically you don't do nothing else you don't do anything so you can be 200 feet away from your unit and pull detergent but I would even have to go back to the unit to flip a switch or turn a dial all right Stone aim at anyone and don't none of this no triggering it like this when you're using don't play with them you're gonna have it on and that's and that's it play with your leaf blower not with your pressure washer yeah there you go all right well let's fire it up then all right will it come off so you say you salt first yes you dry soap the machine yeah I'm just applying that cold water right now you want to flip the burner on yeah [Applause] [Music] you don't want to go much hotter when you're applying detergent that's what you're doing right now so how long do you pre-sulk it for here so right now the whole hundred for the hole is loaded with detergent now so now I'm going to let go of this trigger yeah and just squeeze this because it's going to come out at high pressure now so you'll see I wish you guys could be here and smell that that is such a good smelling yeah soap I'm gonna just run it for a minute I wanted the burner to get really hot so okay so here's a couple key takeaways you do the salt at 135 degrees not any hotter because it doesn't make the soap better but once you're done soaping it turn your burner up to 180 degrees once you hit 180 degrees that's where the grease will melt off below 180 degrees it'll just smear but at 180 you're done foreign [Applause] some of this stuff has been stuck on my machine for the last two years so it's not going to come off without a fight but once that hot water starts to warm up the surface temperature of that cold unit it starts to really make a difference we were in low pressure with the soul yep 130 130. I mean low temp low temp and then as soon as you turn it up to 180 that stuff just started to disappear but one one note of common practice when washing though is if you're washing like Vehicles you always cold rents but since we're washing something that's really gnarly the paint you know we're not super concerned about the Finish yeah we're gonna rinse with hot water then to help break down the stuff that's stuck to the paint even more what but then after the end are we supposed to cold rinse we well we don't need to on something like this but if it was a truck yes do your pre-spray on your wheel wells knock the Heavies off you're going to soap it down and then you're gonna switch to cold water to rinse why the reason why because cold water rinses better it allows the soap to sheet off better oh nope okay so what this does stand is it real it's a zero degree but it spins so a crew is when you hit crevices like this right here it creates kind of a cone and allows that water then to stay in that cone so you don't get a lot of Splash bath so here all this demonstrated foreign [Music] nozzle tip and it's worth every penny and if we were spraying a regular nozzle at that corner it would have blown back at us I know this yes God it sounds like an 810 Warthog coming in the angel of death so like right in here is where this would work today [Music] all right [Music] oh that is beautiful oh that is beautiful I hope you guys could see that could we do your boom there oh let's do it okay go foreign [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] foreign [Music] okay so when you're done running it um you could keep the pump running and keep pushing out high pressure if you want to do but what I do is I just spray it like this to keep the uh the hot water just cool to cool everything off so right now your hose is super hot your swivels is 180 everything you feel that it's 180 degrees right now so the reason why you cool it down then is it kind of helps with the expansion contraction of all the fittings and everything okay and it's going to help everything last longer so a cool down procedure is always that's what you do before but you don't have to go and drain it or nothing if wrong if it's just that just that once a year okay so cool down just cooler down before you put her away kind of like when we're running a heavy equipment we always let it idle down one to one to three minutes to cool the turbos down so and then everything else all right yes we could have come out with that 797 and it would have been the wrong machine for you because you don't have two 30 volt single phase you know 30 amps to give so buy a good dialogue coming out to check it out Garrett was right you know this is the right fit for what you need you want portability you still want flow you want pressure you want Heat and gonna be the right fit for you so you guys take the time to you don't just sell a pressure washer you make sure that the person is getting the right pressure washer and this is the wrong pressure washer if I have a bulk tank sure because if I'm going to put throw this in the back of a pickup truck and try to go this is not the right one because you need a belt drive correct serpent team driving pull that water for you to hold the water because this is getting the water is getting pushed because you have greater than the GPM of the machine pushing into it so you've got direct drive which will work so you came out yesterday you've been talking to me about…
