Compact and Apply Polymeric Sand

What happens here
Once all pavers are laid, sweep polymeric sand over the entire surface. This specialized sand contains polymers that activate when wet, hardening to lock pavers in place and inhibit weed growth. Use a push broom to work the sand into all the paver joints, ensuring they are completely filled. After sweeping, run a plate compactor over the newly laid pavers to vibrate the polymeric sand deep into the joints and ensure the pavers are firmly seated. Sweep any excess sand off the surface, then lightly mist the entire walkway with water to activate the polymers. Repeat the misting process according to product instructions.
Goal: Stabilize the pavers and fill joints to prevent shifting and weed growth.
