What happens here
The presenter demonstrates the flow of cattle through the newly assembled system by walking through it himself, mimicking a cow's perspective. He starts in the sweep system, where spring-loaded latches on the panels prevent backward movement as the panels are closed. He then moves into the progressively narrowing alleyway, where the solid sheeted walls create a 'cave' effect to reduce visual distractions and encourage forward motion, a key principle of low-stress cattle handling. Finally, he enters the squeeze chute, where his 'head' passes through the automatic headgate, and the side panels 'hug' him gently. He shows how the side panels feature small access hatches for procedures like palpation, deworming, or ear tagging.
Goal: Illustrate how cattle move through and are handled by the system for various procedures.
