What happens here
After preparing the tractor and brush cutter, drive to the pasture where the mowing will take place. Upon arrival, use appropriate hearing protection, such as 3M Bluetooth headphones, to safeguard your ears from the loud machinery. The brush cutter should be set to run as level as possible, or with a slight forward tilt, about 5 inches off the ground, to effectively cut weeds and stimulate new growth while leaving enough cover for grazing animals. This technique helps prevent weeds from seeding out, ensuring better pasture quality. The video mentions that the field previously had old barn foundations and a gravel roadbed, which left numerous rocks scattered throughout, posing a challenge for mowing.
Goal: Set up the mower and prepare for efficient weed control in the pasture.
