What happens here
While mowing, a helper named Woody uses a John Deere Gator 825i utility vehicle to collect cleared sticks and twigs from various 'dead land' spots in the pasture. These areas are characterized by poor topsoil or exposed rock from old barn foundations and former gravel roadbeds. The collected wood is then dumped from the Gator's hydraulic dump bed into small piles in these barren spots. The plan is to later burn these piles to create biochar, which will be mixed with biological material to enrich the soil and encourage new grass growth in these previously unproductive areas. This sustainable practice turns waste wood into a soil amendment.
Goal: Clear brush and prepare biochar to improve 'dead land' areas in the pasture.
