What happens here

The presenter begins by establishing the context for the current task. He is applying the third and final coat of a 2K polyurethane finish to a dining table. He explains the table's extensive restoration history: it was a discarded item that had previously undergone treatments including paste wax, a stain, a bonding primer, multiple coats of MSA paint, and a clear coat. The prior clear coat was stripped using an 'active strip' product. This final coat of catalyzed 2K poly is being applied to give the table enhanced waterproofing, chemical resistance, scratch resistance, and chip resistance, ultimately making the stain and the entire finish last a long time.
