*Warning: Dump trailer accident * caught on camera

you want to go with us today or two up north or four we're gonna get we're gonna haul all that wood we're gonna load up the trailer we're gonna haul that wood up instead of trying to go out into the woods and pull wood out and there's no wood up there at all yeah yeah there's we're out yeah a hundred percent out i burned it all up and so the plan is we're gonna take that wood there haul it 100 miles up north so we're not stuck going out into the woods trying to yank it out yeah yep frankie's gonna get the the splitter going and we're gonna we're gonna cut it we're gonna cord it cut it split it stack it okay yeah i'll come up here and help you with that cool that'll make it go a lot faster yeah yeah i'll come help okay there we go good job so i've had a big stack of firewood from a tree we cut down last year seasoning let's just load up what i've got ready instead of going out into the woods you guys maybe some of you remember the last time we went out into the woods with a truck and trailer we jack knifed it and banged up the trailer i don't want to go back out into the woods and bang up another trailer all you do with this thing just click it and go yeah dude you just like let's say we want 30 pounds i put it up to 30 and then i hit the it turns off when it's done but this thing is i mean it gets to the point where some tires can overwhelm it yeah you know i mean like a big tire it may not be able to keep up i don't think that would work for the sleds yeah but for how small it is pretty damn convenient dude it's gone up a pound and a half just since we've been talking there's another half a pound so you just set it and forget it that's what i like about it because everyone needs a caffeinated carbonated gasoline drink in the morning [Music] [Applause] so the idea is we're going to grab these logs because they've been seasoned now for almost a year and i know they're not perfect but these are kind of a softer wood and so i figured let's just use them [Music] they really need about one more half a season before they'd be a really good point that they'd be dry but we're out of wood and so i figured it'd be easier for me to load up a trailer and haul it even though it's 100 miles then going back out into the woods risking those hills and trying to harvest wood from out there oh these were the jankiest forks you'll see one of them just flops right off it was that tiny little thing come on right right there just yeah just flopped right [Music] off shoot i think that was a gopro that dropped down on the bottom of the trailer this video guys is best to do for a game plan [Applause] well i don't think we should back all the way down there do you why not man i don't know if we're gonna get out well we got good tires i've been driving up and down that with my truck no problem two-wheel drive with your pickup yeah well not with my pickup of my expedition yeah all the way down there yeah i'm not dude it was so cold when i went and started that fire i was not walking down there i had my truck out here running for 30 minutes and drove down there loaded the wood up and drove back out okay you guys want to go down there i'm good with it split it right down there and stack it right up in there wherever you want the map because the message is gonna leave a good mess if we gotta cut everything up down there is fine because i gotta remove them boulder walls anyway at some point so that's gonna be all tore up down in front of there now let's do it down there then okay what are you gonna do back down or drive down back down listen to the snow you can tell how cold it is by this the way the snow sounds we'll let him get out first frankie your front end is jacked either it's the way your truck is turned or your front end is jack the tires are like that yeah yeah i never i cranked my torso up too far how's that handle going down the road like that frankie not bad i like wearing out the inside of my tires more than the outside what did you say frankie it gives you more to buy frankie sure does like them as towns he's got three of them we'll just do it here or whatever and stack it inside so you think you got it unless you want to i don't really care i want to know if you think you got it one of the nights when we were up there alex was talking about it was too cold to walk down it was negative 40. that's when he got out and drove his truck from the top of the hill down to the bottom to stoke up the fireworks this it gets dangerous in a moment and we actually catch it on camera yeah trailer drake lost his practice except for trailer alex should put his front plow down push that snow out of his way so he could go forward more but we won't tell trailer alex how to do it he's smiling like a monkey eating crap on a frosted morning oh there goes my turf establishment blanket though you're just being considerate yeah okay okay now watch where the trailer is right there it's important to know yeah you can just well dump it right here and then just pick it up what we don't i don't care however you want to do it it's kind of it's kind of a horse a piece all right i'm gonna go get the mini fired up while you guys figure out what the heck you're gonna do with wood again look at look at did you guys know how that trailer was parked i made the assumption that they were going to straighten this out and they didn't all right come on little tiny baby girl let's see if she'll pop [Music] that's a good sound and that was my bad because i should have stayed there long enough to make sure that everything was the way it is but right now the way this trailer is parked when this wood comes out alex is standing in between the truck and the trailer and it's here and what happens is the trailer pushes forward to see him jump out he was in between there the jackknifed [Applause] and i'm up here cheering that i got a mini loaded when alex almost just got squished but you can see how fast it goes when it goes wrong it goes wrong fast i've heard this and people have said never stand in between a truck and a dump trailer even when they're straight because if the hitch lets loose the trailer can go forward so you're not supposed to ever stand between the two and that's why they give you that really long [Music] it can happen uh at any time and especially if the truck is at an angle it can really happen and then being on top of snow like that makes it even worse and then when the logs slid out the force pushed literally put that up pushed the whole thing forward where the truck was stationary and the trailer just moved into the truck that was a close call today's drink dark morello cherry and pomegranate no i don't really get into these kinds of things very often but i thought well i really like sand pellegrino regular water mixed with diet dr pepper so they've already added a flavor bonus [Music] [Applause] it's horrible it's the worst [Music] [Applause] [Music] uh see that cabin in the background we're taking all of those windows off that's the frankenstein cabin every window door everything that was in that cabin was salvaged i salvaged out of other buildings and i just couldn't take it anymore so now i'm going to take i got permission to change the roof line so that we don't have such a flat roof and we're going to remove all of the windows and doors and or improve them as soon as as soon as all those logs fell out it just pushed it all forward everything yeah and here i was standing right here pushing the pin you know and it started sliding farther away you idea know right we got another box you know what we're blessed to only have another box to pound out it could have been bad fast kind of like this it was bad fast [Applause] a beast so i love this log splitter [Applause] [Music] it's just so well built that's like a fuzzy warm feeling is getting a piece of equipment that you just look at and go i bet you're still gonna be good in a decade or even two [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] um so officially that was two trailers in two weeks and when i walked up to alex and said so should we call it he's wrecked two trailers in two weeks he says no you should call it should we fire him and you know i he said it just kind of joking but he was actually worried about something like that and he was pretty hard on himself and son sometimes you can be harder on yourself than other people are on yeah so everybody came out safe that's what matters and you know a couple dents in a couple trailers but some experiences that we learned and hopefully we can share with you guys because i was told not to stand in between a dump truck and a a truck in a dump trailer and boy you can see how wrong it can go and how fast it can happen wow i was glad he was okay and um was also able to still catch that and so hopefully maybe some of you guys can look at it and go oh maybe it'll help somebody out i don't know man i i think there may be a
