Attach Ledger Board and Rafters

What happens here

First, attach a sturdy wooden ledger board directly to the exterior wall of the house, ensuring it is level and properly anchored to the building's framing. This forms one side of the pergola's roof support. Next, install numerous smaller, evenly spaced wooden rafters or joists between the main horizontal beams and the ledger board. These will create the grid pattern visible from below and provide the framework for the roof covering. The video shows workers on ladders meticulously attaching these elements.

Goal: Secure a ledger board to the house structure and then install the smaller cross-members (rafters or joists) across the main beams, creating the overhead grid.
