What happens here

The vise's base features a ball joint with grooves, allowing the main vise body to be physically locked into eight different positions using a steel locking pin. Four positions are perfectly vertical at 90-degree intervals, and four are horizontal at 90-degree intervals. This physical locking mechanism provides 130 foot-pounds of torque, ensuring the workpiece remains stable and doesn't move during intense work. This feature is demonstrated with a pipe, showing it can be held vertically or horizontally and remain firmly in place.

Goal: Understand the secure multi-position locking feature of the vise's ball joint.
