Unboxing and Testing: FLEX vs Ridgid’s Best Combo Drill face off. Who will win?
What happens here
Two primary performance tests are introduced: speed and endurance. For the speed tests, the tools will be used simultaneously to drive or drill into a fresh 6x6 block of pre-treated pine wood. The first speed test involves driving 6 and 3/8-inch deck screws using the impact drivers. Both the Flex and Ridgid impact drivers are equipped with 6 amp-hour batteries and set to their highest settings. The presenter demonstrates driving multiple deck screws with both tools concurrently. The second speed test uses the hammer drills to drive the same 6 and 3/8-inch deck screws, with the Flex hammer drill utilizing its Turbo mode. The presenter performs this test carefully, attempting to manage both powerful tools simultaneously.
Goal: Evaluate the speed of both impact drivers and hammer drills when driving deck screws.
