Install horizontal wooden planks or tongue-and-groove panels to create the finished ceiling for the covered patio. Securely fasten each plank to the underside of the roof rafters. Once the ceiling is complete, apply roofing sheathing (plywood or OSB) over the rafters. This creates a solid surface for the roofing material and improves structural rigidity. Finally, install appropriate roofing materials, such as synthetic underlayment and shingles, to weatherproof the covered patio.
Goal: Complete the covered patio ceiling and weatherproof the roof structure.
