What happens here

This project showcases the comprehensive transformation of a backyard space into a luxurious outdoor living area. Key steps include meticulously laying concrete pavers around a custom fire pit, polishing a concrete countertop to a sleek finish, and installing premium Thermowood accents, such as vertical siding for an outdoor bar, decorative trellises, and a unique staggered ceiling design for a pergola. The process combines structural work with detailed finishing, highlighting the use of durable and aesthetically pleasing materials to create a functional and stylish outdoor retreat.

what's going on everybody welcome back to the Vlog in this one we're going to be putting some more touches on this secret gardening area and this sick fire pit we've got a brand new material that we're going to be using here that we love and we're going to be doing some really sick stuff on the deck with some trim detail so make sure you hit subscribe stay tuned you could do two 18s and then a 12 that's 4T so it don't work out the same yeah but what's going on this line just to stop right here yeah just stop right there oh okay use that side right because it's 7 4 ft this width now and not use this just a two line right that's mean yeah um this why I use the small one the edes maybe just cut it I don't know just foot whatever um wa just come close we stop uh yeah yeah we might yeah maybe we'll maybe we'll cut these edges don't worry about don't worry about the edge just just start around the fire pit and go that way and then we'll kind of see where we're at we'll see what pieces we have but like you can use these here and it'll all work out this yeah you can use it wherever I than some yeah you can look just look right here what's going to this part so look this won't work with a 24 and an 18 cuz then you'll need a six and there's no sixes so if you do say care like it's you're going to continue the pattern just like we did over there all right so we're working on uh our secret garden fire pit area we're getting our pavers down we got the base all done and everything uh same thing we did over there we're just laying them all down uh we set it to our thickest thickness so like this is a thick one right here it's right at the height that we need we'll go around after we get the whole pattern done we'll lift up the lower ones and we'll add some more setting beds so that everything's level we've got our our uh top here worked out pretty good wasn't perfect we're still working on getting getting this concrete you know situation perfect we messed up that countertop last time this turned out a lot better what we ended up doing was the edges were a little bit rough so we went around with our cut off saw we cut an inch off of everything to give it a nice clean Edge um and now what we're doing is we're grinding it down to give it this uh you know polished finish so we just took a grinding wheel to it got all of that top layer off to expose some Aggregate and now we're going to we're going to wet sand it with a couple different couple different grits and we're going to get this thing looking nice looking really nice so fire ped will go right in the center then we'll get to the outside [Music] oh [Music] w [Music] [Applause] [Music] starting off some of our uh trim details here what we're using on the this bar is Thermo wood this is a thermally modified wood product we're using the ash here and looks freaking uh beautiful looks amazing now we're going to do it on the back side of this bar too and we're going to have it on the bar on this banet on the ceiling sides of the fireplace and couple applications over there in The Secret Garden so it's going to look sick all we did was take that 1x6 it's a smooth four side product and we just ripped it in half cuz we wanted this uh kind of slat look so they're about 2 and 3/4 and it looks oh it just looks awesome looks so good [Music] oh starting out on this trellis build we've got the thermo wood ash beautiful beautiful looking product uh we wanted this cuz it really goes with the color scheme here it's going to like almost match our stain on our pergola and on these posts but going to Accent a little bit it's going to be a little bit more visible so it's got this really nice green just looks awesome so it's thermally modified outdoor usage is a and here we're just going to do a little trellis on both sides of our entry eventually you know we'll have some vines that kind of grow up it not too overpowering but something nice and delicate to provide some privacy and give it that natural feeling so that's what we're working on right now Jose you want to help me out got it 29 minus [Music] two at 29 two at 29 help me [Music] all right so this here is going to be where our propane tank goes um this is going to be the storage for it so we're doing this Thermo wood uh vertical Batten design aesthetic and functional it's going to be solid across these two sides and then on this side we're going to have a removable hatch so it's going to look like it's just built in you're not it's going to be like an invisible door but we have magnets on it and you can pop this out access our propane tank and uh I think it's going to look really great and be functional all right 26 of 5 a so we need to we need to shrink this by like an inch to get it to have full pieces cuz let's see this will be that was 20 and2 Hing okay we need how many more you need seven more I got three so you need is there going to be like an inch Rip is that what you're talking about no we'll be able to the rest of these we'll just shave them down like an eighth of an inch and we should be good so we'll all be the same hold off with that yeah hold off on that so we got you need four more I need seven more so we need 11 more let me just check over here make sure yeah we're good [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] he [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] here we go door magnets metal I think we're going to put I didn't want to put a hole in here for for a little finger grab but I think we're going to have to just to make it a little easier to get in and out but boom super Sleek would you guess that's a door I don't think so I don't think you would it's looking sick [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] 81 and A2 short point to uh straight 81 and a half 81 and a half yeah all right so we've ripped down all this thermal wood it's the thermal wood ash we're doing a decorative design on the ceiling we we want to keep light over here we want more shade over here so we don't cut out all the natural light into the uh you know house we're kind of Staggering it off right around our center point but we're going to have it be random you know kind of end point so it kind of just feathers off and I think as it comes back here we'll start kind of stepping it back a hair so it's like almost a cutaway now we need to figure out all these Cuts we need to split on our Rafters here so what I'm doing is I know you know the measurements that we started with here's your next piece him I'm splitting yep you can go a little little bit more towards you Nick here we go I know what you know a measurement that we started out with we have to cut it on a 45 against our fireplace and then the other end needs to split on a rafter so each one that goes this way you can see it's going to get longer against the fireplace they're growing by two and 3/4 so I can just figure out what is a measurement that works that splits on a rafter add 2 and 3/4 and then because we don't want all our seams lined up I can just add or subtract a denomination of 24 and it'll give us a different measurement so it'll be random seams but it'll split on a rafter and I can just go ahead so we don't have to measure each one of these cuz that would take forever so that's what I'm doing right now I feel like a mathematician right now I'm doing that pulling out things and then we're doing a straight to straight cut and this is where we're going to end kind of randomly so um yeah 81 and A2 so the short Point fast ball curveball fast ball outside change up uh this is to hit him me W you and then you give it a little Pinky away that's fastball away huh are these just your signs or do people use these it's pretty Universal huh7 oh jeez hey God did I give you this one yet you rolling no I stopped cuz no one's talking no one's talking told me not to roll no one they'll make me sore through a bunch of footage how are your du lingo ceing not great I haven't done them in a little while I've been busy I've been busy Steve was on vacation I had to edit the whole last Vlog or this Vlog I don't even know I don't know what's going on I'm in the zone right now though what I say about excuses uh skin of Reason stuffed with a lie it's exactly what it is in this case you can always find the time [Music] I [Music] we're running like a well oiled machine here we're uh staggering the ends here it's looking pretty sweet and I think it's really going to come together when we have these three hanging lights right at like the point where it starts to stagger off I think that's going to like bring it all together as a halfway point I think it's going to look sick the material looks awesome love it [Music] it's going to be a nice detail here switching up the shapes a little bit get a little a little circular feature here centered with our post it's just like a little spot to put like two chairs just watch kids out in the yard you nothing nothing too fancy here but I think this uh little border detail it's going to look nice [Music] we got our ceiling finished up it looks amazing I'm super happy with the way that turned out all of our vertical accents with this thermal wood look great we've got our secret garden really taking shape we're going to finish that up in the next video we got Frank the plumber here my main man the king king plum coming we'll be get into a lot of that stuff in the next video finishing up this fireplace so make sure you hit subscribe stay tuned and until next time this has been Premier outdoor living [Music]
